Martin Nitz was born circa 1743/44, at From age 36 when married; Occ. cannonier on marriage registration.¹ He was the son of Johann Nitz.
Martin Nitz married Dorothea Steuck, daughter of Johann Steuck and Eva Tresner, on 18 June 1780, at #13 page 31, prob. Güntergost, , Posen, Prussia. Martin is a 36 year old widower and an Ackermann, she has no age but is single and both are from Guntergost.¹
Martin Nitz witnessed the birth of Johann Lassin on 1 April 1794 at #52M, bap. 6 April., Güntergost, , Posen, Prussia; Father George is an Ackermann (gave him a brother) and mother is Eva Steukin.

Martin Nitz I received the following from another researcher. The info came from the LDS films. I do suspect you have this - but I will send it anyway. May help. I am still trying.

The Nitz family seems to be quite large, and goes way back (the records begin in 1773). I found Wilhelm Julius Nitz, born 19 May 1861, baptized 9 June, parents Friedrich Nitz and Anna Maria Luise Krause. Sponsors were Auguste Br(uch?), Michael Krause, and Michael Nitz. (Film #245515)

Friedrich and Anna Maria were married on 2 Nov 1856 in Lobsens. He was 27, she was 21. Both were from Mlotkowke. (Film #245520)

The actual birth records are missing from 1822-1839; there is only an Index.

In the Index, I found in 1829:
# 93 Johann Nitz, Guntergost, a son, Friedrich
(Film #245513). I could not find anything in the Index for Anna Maria Luise, although there are quite a few Krauses. Maybe she was baptized somewhere else?

Anyway, I looked in the marriage index and found Johann Nitz of Guntergost, married on 28 Sept 1823 to Henriette Bruch of Kosczierzyn. He was 24y, 4m old and she was 18y, 7m old. (#245520)

I found a birth record for Johann Nitz. He was born 18 May 1799 to Martin Nitz and Louise (looks like Glatteis?). #245513. Some of this old writing is very hard to read!! I couldn't find any birth record for Henriette.

In the birth Index (alphabetical) there are four Nitz's in Guntergost having children in the 1780s and 90s -- Michael, Christian, Martin, and Peter.
