Buried in the Langstaff Plot with Frederick, Martha and Lena

Our citizen's received a severe shock on Tuesday afternoon when it was reported around town that Master Humphrey George Langstaff was dead, as none were aware of his illness. He was taken ill last Wednesday with diarrhea and severe pains in the bowels and as he had been eating rhubarb it was thought that was the cause. However on Monday the family physician was called in and gave him treatment for the diarrhea, but as the pain continued it was decided to take him to a hospital on the afternoon train Tuesday, but he continued to sink so rapidly that it was useless trying to get him there alive and he soon passed away. The immediate cause of death was an obstruction of the intestines.
The deceased was in his 13th year, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Langstaff of this place. He was a pupil of Carp Public School and his name appears in the promotion list elsewhere in this issue of the Review. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters and two brothers, namely Hannah, Helena, Georgina, Leonard and Clifford, all at home.
The family have the sincere sympathy of the community in their sad and sudden bereavement.
The funeral will be held to St. James Church and Cemetery today (Thursday) at 2 p.m.
(It is noticed that Lena's name is spelled as Helena. Is this a spelling mistake or was her name actually Helena? All of the information I have points to Lena as the correct spelling).1
