Mrs. C. W. Krinke Dies Friday At Age Of 82 Years
Services Conducted at Methodist Church Monday, Resident Here Since 1905 Services for Mrs. C. W. Krinke were conducted at the home and at the Methodist church Monday afternoon with interment in the city cemetery. Rev. George Kaslow of the Methodist church had charge of the services and Rev. Davis offered prayer at the church. Pallbearers were all grandsons of the deceased.
Mary Adler, the eldest child of John and Sophie Adler, was born May 24, 1857 near Hartford, Dodge county, Wisconsin. Her girlhood was spent in that community. When 20 years of age she moved with her parents to Rochester, Minnesota.
On March 12, 1876 she was united in the bonds of holy wedlock to Christian William Krinke. A long and happy journey of wedded life was destined to be theirs for they were permitted to celebrate the 61st anniversary of their wedding last March. And to further bless this union nine children, five sons and four daughters were born.
The young couple started their journey of life together on a farm near Blue Earth, Minnesota. In 1905 the family moved to a farm north of Lamberton. In 1914 Mr. and Mrs. Krinke retired from the active duties of the farm and moved to their present home in the village of Lamberton.
Early in life Mrs. Krinke confessed Jesus Christ her personal Saviour and assumed the responsibilities of the life identifying herself with the church.
She has been a faithful member of the church and apart from family duties the most active part of her life was in the channels of the Christian faith.
She was a Gold Star Mother, her son, Elvin, Dying while in the service of our country.
Mrs. Krinke was a good wife and mother and together with her husband and children shared the blessings of a Christian home.
It seems a coincidence that her passing should follow so closely that on one of her most intimate friends, Mrs. Hubert.
Mrs. Krinke, though not in the best of health previously, was confined to her bed but a short time before she answered life's final call on November 10, 1939, being 82 years, 5 months and 16 days of age.
Three sons, the eldest dying in infancy, the aforementioned Elvin, and Henry, have preceded their mother in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband C. W. Krinke; four daughters, Clara (Mrs. Wm. J. Boelke), Ella (Mrs. Sam Coulter), Lillian (Mrs. Ernest Hubert), all of Lamberton, and Miss Elsie Krinke of Washington, D. C., and two sons, John and Walter, both of Lamberton. Two sisters, Mrs. Albert Neuman of Chicago and Miss Henrietta Adler of Lamberton also survive together with 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.
