Charles Clow emigrated in 1886 from As a Barnardo child, and a page possibly written by Charles. See photo # to
; Charles was a foster brother raised by the Krienkes and who worked on their farm untill he married. He came from England, but I know nothing of his origins. Possibly one of the "Home Children".

Doreen gave me the name of the home he came from, Lady Adlaide Home (Lady Adelaide Home,
Brondesbury. That is how it is listed on the 1891 census. It is also
known as the Orphanage of Mercy, Randolph Gardens, Kilburn, run by an order
of Anglican nuns.), with a Dr. Bernardo.
