Louis Phillip Bohnsack Birth day of Louis different by one day: me 4 April, Theron 3 April.

Notes from Theron's file:
Louis was educated in schools in Bohnsack Township, Blue Earth, Minnesota and Dakota BusinessCollege, Fargo, North Dakota. In September,1910 he married Elsa Schwalbe, a neighbor's (Otto Schwalbe) daughter in Bohnsack Townsh.ip. It was the wedding of the year - a big social whirl. They set up housekeeping on a farm in Bohnsack Township until World War I when they moved to the family's home farm in Fargo. Children, Earl, Dorothy, and Lucille, were born on the Hillsboro farm. Son, Robert, was born in Fargo. He was a World War I baby.

In the year of 1920 Hulda (his mother) insisted Louis farm on the Grandin, North Dakota farm, as she and Charles wanted to come out of retirement from Fargo City Home and farm on Fargo Place. Daughter, Margaret, was born in Hillsboro, North Dakota, in 1921 during the time the family lived on Grandin Farm. In the spring of 1923, Louis sold Grandin Farm and bought the Nevis Telephone Company in Nevis, Minnesota, against wishes of his mother. He bought th,Q Telephone Company from his brother Alvin. Daughter, Winifred Mae, and son, Kenneth, were born while living in Nevis.

After a few years living in Nevis he sold the Telephone Company and went to work for Standard Oil Company (Ind.) as an agent. He held this position until 1940 when he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he worked for Coast to Coast Stores. In 1945 he moved back to Fargo to the home farm to care for his father, Charles. He held a position with a beauty supply house there. He died in Fargo after nine years retirement in 1960. His wife, Elsie, preceeded him in death in 1952. They are both buried in St. John's Cemetery, Hillsboro, North Dakota, on the prairie where the wind blows freely on the land they were raised on and loved as their home. May they rest in peace in,heaven with the father almighty.

Paul Allen Odlaug Notes from Theron's file: Paul was an accoutant.
After Paul's dad died, based on some of the school report cards I have, it looks like Ingeborg
took them from Stanley, Wisconsin to live with her father Torjus Reishus in Minot, North
Dakota. They lived there until Paul was finished with the 4th grade. Then they moved to
Eau Claire, Wisconsin. My dad went to the public school in Eau Claire until he finished the 6th grade. After Ingeborg died, none of the Odlaug's would take him and his two brothers to live with them, so it was up to Ingeborg's family to help out. Her brother Fritz Reishus and his wife Olia were kind enough to take them as Ingeborg and the boys were already living at the Fritz Reishus home in Eau Claire where Ingeborg kept house for them.

Fritz worked for International Harvester and lived in Eau Claire before moving 31 River Heights, Mason City, Iowa. Paul lived with them until he graduated from Mason City High School in 1932 or 1933. Like his brother Edwin he then went to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where he went for two years before going to work for Interantional Havester. He enlisted in the Canadian Forestry Corps in Vancouver, B.C., Canada in January 1941 and stayed with the Corps until he enlisted in as a corporal in the Army in 1943. For a time he served in at the U.S. Army headquarters in Paris in late 1944. He married my mother in March, 1945 in Tacoma, Washington.[Langstaff Jul 26 01.FTW]

Notes from Theron's file: Paul was an accoutant.
