Funeral services for Thomas A. K. Langstaff, formerly of Montreal, were held in Toronto.
Mr. Langstaff was born in Kemptville, Ont. in 1908; educated at Kemptville High School, and McGill Universtity, where he graduated with a B.Comm degree in 1932.
After college he joined A.E. Ames and Co. Ltd., investment dealers and remained with the fimr until 1956 when he became a partner of Harris and Partners. He was in Montreal until 1959, transferred to London, England until 1963, and since then he has worked in Toronto.
At the outbreak of the Second World War Mr. Langstaff joined Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders as a major, going overseas in 1942, and remained there until 1946. He served as a staff officer at Canadian Military Headquarters.
He was a member of the university clubs of Montreal and Toronto, The Mount Royal Golf Club, The Toronto Golf Club, and the Gresham Golf Club of London.
He is survived by his wife Helen Bradley of Ottawa; by a brother Grenville of Kemptville; and three sisters:
Mrs. Duncan Derry of Port Credit;
Mrs Edward Vanstone of Toronto;
Mrs. Richard O'Sullivan of Dublin, Ireland.
Canon Wright of Toronto, a school friend, officiated at the funeral. Burial took place at St James Anglican Cemetery, Kemptville, where Canon S. Kerrison conducted the service of interment.

William Fredrick Langstaff died on 6 September 1966, at Moose Jaw, SK.
William Fredrick Langstaff      Helena and William Frederick (Fred) had one son, my father, Charles Frederick Langstaff on Oct. 22, 1910, born in Ottawa. Fred moved his family to Saskatoon and started a fruit wholesale company. In 1918, he gave my father and grandmother a 1 way ticket to Ottawa. My grandmother never saw him again and my dad didn't make contact with him until 1956 or so.

     My grandmother (Helena) raised my dad without so much as a nickel from Fred Langstaff. Anyway, Fred stayed out west and sired at least one illegitimate son that I know of, I think his name is Ray and he lives in Calgary. Fred then "Married" a woman from Regina. This is amazing because he never divorced my grandmother and she wouldn't give him the satisfaction.

     Fred and his new wife raised Ray, and had four children of their own, Marg, a son whose name escapes me, Arthur and Gladys. I have met these people but they live in and around Moose Jaw so it's hard to keep close. I have met Marg a number of times, in fact my wife Arlene and I are going to their home for supper tomorrow. She lives with her husband, Bill Veale, in Woodville Ontario, about an hours drive from Pickering. She can fill me in on details, names births deaths etc.. I will keep you posted. in 2004.⁴

Eva Langstaff was In the year 1876, there must have been an epidemic, of smallpox, in Elizabethtown. ; The 1901 census states that Sarah came to Canada in 1870., and that she was of English origin.
As well she has living with her a Jennie Heitzman, age 23, who recently came from the USA (1901) and her two children Eleanor (age 4, born USA, came 1901) and Fredrick (born 17 Mar. 1901 in Ont.).
It would make sense that this woman is her sister, recently bereaved or divorced.
Could it be that she is using her maiden name?

But the birth certificate for son John has her name as Delia Gravelstuie, and on two other children's certificates it is listed as Sarah D or Delia Brower.⁴
