As recorded in The Royal Military Chronicle for 1812, the following promotions took place between April and August.

July 2nd: to be lieutenants without purchase, ensigns William Pennefather, James Eagar, John Napper, Richard C. Elliot, A. W. Freear, John Rumley, W. A. Brisac, and Andrew Baillie. on 2 July 1811 at Promoted to Lieutenant, , .2
Andrew Baillie The Waterloo Roll Call by Dalton lists Andrew with Alexander McNabb's 2/30 th Foot at the battle of Waterloo and just before that, when Napoleon escaped Elba the regiment was stationed in Antwerp. This is where he met his wife C. Bosschaert and they had a son John in 1816 in Broomside. The article that was written by John R. Grodzinski which states Alexander McNabbe died at Waterloo and gave instructions that his effects were to be delivered to relatives in Scot. and U.C. could be the reason Andrew may have ended up in U.C. in fact he may have brought the effects as they are in Toronto today.

His son John ends up in Renfrew County (1851 census) and one can assume Andrew, also moved to U.C. and this is where Jane would have been born. on 18 June 1815, at, Ghent, , Belgium.3
