Muriel Irene Neely was born on 8 May 1925, at South River, Ontario. She was the daughter of Jacob Neely and Letitia "Tish" Josephine Warling.
Muriel Irene Neely married Edwin Russell Longhurst, son of James Aubrey Longhurst and Rachel Emma Woods, on 12 October 1942, at South River, Ontario.
Muriel Irene Neely died on 18 June 2005, at approx. 3:15 am, Marochel Manor, , Carleton, . Muriel had moved from Bracebridge to Ottawa, The Edinburgh, in 2002 when she was no longer able to care for herself in her own home. When she could no longer care for herself and required 24 hour care she moved first to Carling View Manor in the west end of Ottawa and from there to The Marochel Manor on Montreal raod, in the est end of Ottawa. This placed her very close to her daughter Frances.
The Manor called Fran about 3:00am Saturday, the 18th June informing her Muriel was unwell and they were sending her by ambulance to the hospital. This in itself was not alarming as she had been in and out of the hospital quite often in the past two years. They would phone back later when the actual hospital was known (there are 4 possible Ottawa Hospitals). When Fran learned she was at the Mountfort, she went and after long wait asked if she could see her Mother as Muriel got disoriented under such circumstances. After another long wait, Fran asked again and this time she was asked to go to another room to speak with the doctor. It was only then that she was informed that Muriel had actually passed away.
Later when we were able to read the doctor's report it stated that the Dr. Narvine Audi had confirmed the death was due to MI, myocardial infarction, heart attack, or cardiac arrest. Contributing factors were COPD, chronic ? pulmonary disease, i.e. the emphyesma. Muriel had been using an oxygen breathing tube for many years. No autopsy was performed.1
Muriel Irene Neely was buried on 22 June 2005, at Ufford Cemetery from Reynold's Funeral Home,, , Muskoka, ; Tuesday, 7:00 - 9:00 pm the family and friends gathered for the last time at the Funeral Home.
Wednesday the funeral was at 2:00pm and the burial took place at the Ufford Cemetery, next to her husband Edwin.
Later a reception was held at St. Thomas Anglican Church next door to the funeral home.2

Etta Ralston To Bill Johnson seeking info on Plunkett and Rolston of counties
Tyrone/Armagh and to Helen Woods also tracing Ralstons. I have notHing on
Plunkett, but scads on Rolston/Ralston/Roulston (spelling varies). That
data is listed below. Let me know if a) it includes anyone you are looking
for, and b) if you have any Ralston/Rolston data on my main family of
Henry Ralston I and wife, Jane Little of Keady Parish, Co Armagh. Despite
all the Ralston records I've collected, not one seems to provide an
apparent link to Henry Ralston I and Jane Little! The records below were
abstracted by me, from parish register microfilms at PRONI, Belfast in Oct
2000.

RALSTONS of COUNTIES TYRONE AND ARMAGH
The following records were collected in search of Henry Ralston I and
wife, Jane Little who emigrated in June 1830 from the Keady area of Co
Armagh, to Inverness Tp., Megantic Co., Quebec, Canada. Their particulars
are as follows :
Henry Ralston b c 1780 at Keady, Co. Armagh, served from 1798-1816 in the
28th Regiment of Foot, North Gloucester Regiment, 1st Battalion. He
married c 1818 probably somewhere in Co Armagh, to Jane Little, b in Co
Armagh, dau of possibly Robert Little and wife, Margaret. Children born
in Ireland : 1. Henry Ralston II b 27 May 1819, John Ralston b 1821,
Samuel Ralston b 10 Feb 1822, Mary Jane Ralston b ? James Ralston b 6 Aug
1824 in Co Tyrone, and Margaret Jane Ralston b 1828 in Co Armagh. From
the data collected below, none gets me any closer to Henry Ralston and
Jane Little! Hope it can help someone else. Likewise, if you have other
Ralston data that might help me, please pass it on.
Most of the following records were abstracted at the Public Record Office
of Northern Ireland, (PRONI), on a visit which I made there in October
2000. Others were provided, through a request which I made in the 1970s
to the Ulster Genealogical and Historical Guild, Belfast. All the records
are for the Church of Ireland (C of I) - Episcopal, also known as the
Church of England in Ireland, unless otherwise noted as "P" which means
Presbyterian.
Parish of Keady, Co Armagh
St Matthews Keady - C of I - is in Keady village and is covered by PRONI
Microfilm # MIC 1 / 51 / 1 for 1780- 1809. The C of I Church was built in
Keady village in 1775, and consecrated in 1782. The building was shared
with the Presbyterians. Prior to 1775, both C of I and Presbyterians
used the old Tassagh Cemetery, 2 miles northeast of Keady. After 1775,
C of I persons were buried at St Matthews, and the Presbyterians continued
to use Tassagh graveyard. Keady Presbyterian records are found on PRONI
Microfilm # 583 / 1 for 1806 to 1851. Presbyterian original registers
are also held in local custody at the manse in Keady village.
