Christiana Longhurst According to Lyle Longhurst Christiana had a single daughter, but neither of them ever married.

But in the 1871 census (C-9960, page 8, line 9) it shows that she had a Albert (age 19) living with her as well. Albert is her youngest brother and is working as a school teacher.
Her occupation at the time was Servant. Remember she was at this time aged 40, so it would seem that Lyle's never marrying is correct.
She was living at this time in Mulmur Twp, South Simcoe Co. Ontario and the other shedules show:
Sch. 3: rented one lot with a house and a stable;
Sch. 4: location is lot 9, cons 3 and it is 1/2 acre and she raised 2 bu peas, 6 bu carrots, 100 bu potatoes; (now seems she is a tenent???
Sch. 5: owns 1 cow, 1 sheep, and 2 ligs (slaughtered 2 pigs during the year), made 50 lbs butter, 8 lbs wool and 15 yrads cloth.
Sch. 7: cut 30 cords firewood in past year (I assume Albert, but who knows what she was capable of).

According to Louise Welch, Feb. 2000, Christiana was also a missionary to Egypt and a school teacher. I believe Lyle has a newspaper article about her with a photo. Or was the missionary Sarah?.

This man seems to fit the birth date for our Frederick, but I have a marriage date for him. Is it possible his wife has died and they had no children, or the children are all grown and have left home.²

Could be this is where she ended up as a Mary is living close by and they were living together in 1891.²
